elevated rtbD7 Amelia Mothello, a kind-hearted and devout Catholic, passed away peacefully on April 28th, 2023, at the age of 87. She was born on May 5th, 1935, in Zimbabwe, to Joao and Bertha De Almeida. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Henry Mothello, and her siblings, Innocent De Almeida, Domingo De Almeida, John De Almeida, Rosina Rensburg, Georgina Morta, and Maria De Almeida.

elevated rtbD7 Amelia was a loving mother to her children, Ann Blazius, Eric Mothello, and Bruno Mothello. She was also grandmother to Bertha Werrett and great-grandmother to Tyla and Marley Werrett.

elevated rtbD7 Amelia found comfort and strength in prayer and the Rosary, and her faith was a guiding light throughout her life. She was a devoted member of the church and loved creating flower arrangements in Braeside church. Her generous spirit and kind heart touched the lives of everyone she met, and she never hesitated to help those in need.

elevated rtbD7 In addition to her faith, Amelia had many interests. She loved playing Bingo, traveling, and baking, but her true passion was gardening and growing her beloved orchids. She was also a skilled seamstress and made handmade clothing for many, as well as beautiful wedding cakes.

elevated rtbD7 Amelia’s love for her family was boundless, and she never asked for anything in return. Her faith and love for God kept her strong through life’s challenges, and her faith guided her through her final days.

elevated rtbD7 Amelia’s passing has left a void in the hearts of her family and friends. She will be deeply missed, but her memory will live on through the love she shared with those around her. May she rest in peace, knowing that she is in the loving arms of the Lord and her beloved family up in heaven.
