elevated vNqkS (May 3, 1930 – January 11, 2021)
elevated vNqkS It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Angela Loparco in her 90th year. Beloved Mother to Domenic (Mary), Danny (Stella), and the late John (Cathy). Loving Grandmother to Jonathan (Marinna), Melissa, Jacqueline, Christian and Rebecca. Doting Great-Grandmother to Joshua-Tyler. Angela will also be sadly missed by her remaining siblings Luigia and Antonietta and her many nieces and nephews. She is welcomed in heaven by her adoring husband Cosimo (May 22, 1997) and dear son John (November 19, 2020).
elevated vNqkS Angela came to Canada in the 1950’s with her husband and a passion to cook. If you asked her what the secret ingredient to her cooking was, she would reply, “cucinare con la fantasia.” She was one of the pioneers in Italian catering as an immigrant woman in Toronto, and when her businesses began to take off, she capitalized on the opportunity to open her own banquet hall, La Gioconda and was admired for her authentic Italian cuisine for over four decades.
elevated vNqkS Although she was respected for her professional accomplishments, it was at home where she felt the most pride. The only thing she truly wanted was a loving family, and was blessed with children and grandchildren who grew up with an unbreakable bond.
elevated vNqkS Due to COVID-19 restrictions, there will be a private family Funeral Service at Holy Cross Catholic Funeral Home on Friday, January 15 at 10:30 am. An entombment will follow at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery. For those who wish to view the service remotely, please click on the link below. The link will go live 10 minutes before the scheduled time of service. In lieu of flowers, the Loparco Family requests that you consider making a donation to the Alzheimer Society of Canada.

You will be missed by all of us. Your determination strength and love for your family will live on with us forever. I remember coming to your house to watch the Santa Clause parade. I looked forward to watching the parade but most of all after the parade coming to your house for breakfast. Those were great times. All of us kids piled in the living room watching television, joking, laughing, kidding around. Those were great times. How about you in the hot tub surrounded by the boys smoking cigars. God bless!!!
