elevated jrbZr It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Angela Loparco in her 90th year. Beloved Mother to Domenic (Mary), Danny (Stella), and the late John (Cathy). Loving Grandmother to Jonathan (Marinna), Melissa, Jacqueline, Christian and Rebecca. Doting Great-Grandmother to Joshua-Tyler. Angela will also be sadly missed by her remaining siblings Luigia and Antonietta and her many nieces and nephews. She is welcomed in heaven by her adoring husband Cosimo (May 22, 1997) and dear son John (November 19, 2020).

elevated jrbZr Angela came to Canada in the 1950’s with her husband and a passion to cook. If you asked her what the secret ingredient to her cooking was, she would reply, “cucinare con la fantasia.” She was one of the pioneers in Italian catering as an immigrant woman in Toronto, and when her businesses began to take off, she capitalized on the opportunity to open her own banquet hall, La Gioconda and was admired for her authentic Italian cuisine for over four decades.

elevated jrbZr  Although she was respected for her professional accomplishments, it was at home where she felt the most pride. The only thing she truly wanted was a loving family, and was blessed with children and grandchildren who grew up with an unbreakable bond.

elevated jrbZr Due to COVID-19 restrictions, there will be a private family Funeral Service at Holy Cross Catholic Funeral Home on Friday, January 15 at 10:30 am.
