It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our dear mother, Anna Briber (nee Makkos). God called her home on the morning of July 27, 2025 at the age of 88.

elevated 9q7MR Born on June 14, 1937 in Acsalog, Hungary, Anna was the second youngest of 5 children. She came to Canada at the age of 19 and soon after got married to her beloved husband, John.

elevated 9q7MR She was a loving mother to John and Betty (Mark). She was a proud grandmother to Aidan and Evan. Her face would light up every time she saw them. She was a wonderful aunt to her many nieces and nephews in Hungary and Switzerland.

elevated 9q7MR Anna enjoyed good belly laughs and homemade Hungarian food. Her faith ran deep and she was grateful for every single day.

elevated 9q7MR We would like to extend our sincerest gratitude to the staff of Parkview Homes LTC, who cared for Anna with so much love and compassion over the last few years.

elevated 9q7MR Anna will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew and loved her.
