elevated n2vlC Beloved wife and mother, heart of her family

elevated n2vlC Passed at home on Saturday, August 28 at the age of 81.

elevated n2vlC Daughter and eldest child of the late Rosina and Antonio Bruno, admired sister to Gennaro (late Franca), Luigi (Claire), Mary (Carmelo). Sister in law to late Ercole (Maria), Rose (late Leonardo), late Esterina, Mario.

elevated n2vlC Cherished and indispensable wife of 62 years to Francesco (Frank) Mauro and lovingly selfless mother to Lina (Emilio), Tony (Carolyn), Rosemary (Doug). Devoted grandmother to Michael (Andrea), Daniel (Breeda), Matthew, Christopher (Natalie), Brandy (Julian), Robert (Elizabeth), Rachael (Nathan), Nicholas, and Kate. Treasured great grandmother to Mikaela, Marcus, Michael, Juliet, Everleigh, Melina and Adelynn.

elevated n2vlC Always placing the needs of others above her own, Aurora lived for her family and nourished them well. Her garden always provided a bounty and she was ready to feed one and all with pasta, soup, chocolate chip cake or lemon cookies. Her strength, devotion and love feed us much more than her food.

elevated n2vlC Aurora was the very meaning of matriarch, she held her immediate and extended family together. She was our knowledge keeper, our provider, the rock of our lives.

elevated n2vlC We are grateful for the time we had with this very special woman. There are none like her. Aurora leaves a hole in our lives but will forever be in our hearts.

elevated n2vlC The family will receive visitors on Wednesday September 1, 2021 at Holy Cross Catholic Funeral Home, 211 Langstaff Road East, Thornhill, (west of Bayview Ave). from 3 to 5 pm and 6 to 8 pm.

elevated n2vlC A private family Mass will be held at the Chapel of St. Joseph on Thursday September 2, 2021 at 12:00pm.

elevated n2vlC The mass will be available for livestream viewing.
