In Loving Memory of Donald George Allan

elevated 9pT8M With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Donald George Allan.

elevated 9pT8M Don was predeceased by his beloved son Mark Allan and grandson Jacob Allan. He will be deeply missed by his former wife, June Allan and his daughter, Jennifer Allan, his son, Todd Allan (Tracey), and his cherished grandchildren, Mikaela, Andrea, Emma, Jessica, Melissa and Jason.

elevated 9pT8M Don was born in Windsor, Ontario, on August 3rd, 1935. Don moved to Barrie in 1953 with a family that owned DeVilbiss, where he first worked. He later opened his own business, The Credit Union. After that, he had a successful 40-year career as a real estate agent and became a well-known member of the community. Serving as an alderman and a member of the officers’ club.

elevated 9pT8M Don was a gentle, soft-spoken man, known for his kind heart and warm smile. He had a special connection with animals—once even keeping a pet raccoon—and his quick wit often took us by surprise, even in his final days. He faced life with grace, leaving us with countless memories filled with laughter, love, and a sense of peace.

elevated 9pT8M In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Baycrest Foundation for Brain Health, in support of dementia research and programming—a cause close to our hearts, as Don bravely endured the long journey of this devastating disease.
