elevated jXu6G Passed away suddenly at home.

elevated jXu6G Survived by wife Chris (Giusti), daughter Erin (Kyle) Thomas, grandchildren Isla and Garner Thomas. Brother of Janet Braun. Brother-in-law of Dianne Giusti, June Suddard, Jo-Anne Giusti (deceased), Janet Giusti (deceased). Uncle “Unk” to Tracy Giusti.

elevated jXu6G Ed – gentle, warm, generous, loving. Known to many as “Big Ed”, he was our rock, our strength. He loved his family, extended family, friends, his dogs, playing cards, travelling, posing for photos and Grand Marnier. Always smiling, he had a great sense of humour, told some corny jokes and secretly enjoyed the Hallmark Christmas movies that were nestled in Evergreen. He didn’t mind being the center of attention – actually he enjoyed it – and loved a party and having his home full of family and friends. He had friends everywhere, continually running into people regardless of where he was.

elevated jXu6G Married for 45+ amazing years, Chris and Ed always enjoyed family, friends and travelling. Ed’s absolute pride and joy was his daughter Erin, and the extraordinary relationship that they shared. Grabbing a coffee, dinner, trips to the boat show or the Indy races. It didn’t matter where; they just enjoyed each other’s company.

elevated jXu6G With the arrival of the grandkids, Ed discovered Facebook Marketplace and was always sourcing a new “treasure” for them, constantly surprising the kids – and their parents – with his latest find. He cherished his time with the kids. He was the “fixer” of everything for everyone, but especially the grandkids – if it was broken, call DziaDzia.

elevated jXu6G Over the years, Ed was involved in curling, pool, bowling, but his great passion was golf. Following retirement, he loved working part time for various golf courses. His most recent being the Toronto Golf Club, where he met and enjoyed a new group of cherished friends and colleagues.

elevated jXu6G Throughout his 40-year career in industrial oils with various companies, in various capacities, he enjoyed and continued to be a member of S.T.L.E., still serving as Treasurer (Toronto Chapter).

elevated jXu6G To say he will be missed is simply not enough. He was so much to so many. He will remain a huge presence in our lives. Thank God for the many happy memories. If desired, a donation to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Kidney Foundation in Ed’s name would be appreciated.

elevated jXu6G At his request, Ed has been cremated and there will be a celebration of life:
