elevated BTGX4 Obituary
It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of Edward Eric Chung on Saturday, October 7, 2023 at the age of 54. Ed is predeceased by his beloved father Joseph Chung on July 14, 2021. Ed is survived by his loving mother Margaret, Siblings; Charles (Elaine), Linda (Scott) and Robert (Joyce) and nieces and nephews; Melanie, Rhianna, Trinity, Tyson, Tristan and Tyler.
elevated BTGX4 Ed was born in Dhaka, Bangladesh, and came to Canada with his Mother, Charles, and Linda in 1972. Upon arrival, they were finally all reunited with their Father who was already here establishing home and preparing for their arrival. Together, the family would eventually welcome the arrival of the youngest member, Robert.
elevated BTGX4 Ed grew up loving and playing sports. He especially enjoyed playing tennis, badmonton, ping pong and golf. As a sports enthusiast, he remained a diehard Leaf fan, no matter how badly they lost.
elevated BTGX4 Throughout his life, Ed may not have been blessed with a healthy body, and yet, Ed was still able to create the perfect soul. One that was generous, kind, and loving to everyone he met. The life of the party with his infectious smile and laughter, he was also, so giving and willing to lend hand and always wanting to help wherever he can.
elevated BTGX4 Ed absolutely adored kids too. Whenever he got the chance he would do whatever he could to spend a moment with his nieces and nephews, his cousin’s kids, and any of his friend’s kids. As much as Ed wanted to be with them, the kids always looked forward to being with him also. They already miss their Uncle.
elevated BTGX4 All of your Family and Friends already miss you Ed.
elevated BTGX4 The memories of you will live forever in our hearts. Thank you for being a part of our lives.

I Love you and miss you so much my Ed. I hope you are not in pain anymore.
Always your loving sister
My Dearest Ed
You did everything for everyone
You made all your time for everyone
For we were loved
The light of our lives is not with us anymore
But if you happen to see that bright light, look up and you will see Ed’s smiling face
And do something kind as Ed would
So HE can know that HE is loved
I hope you feel our love for you Ed
We take a piece of you with us always…
Goodnight my sweet, gentle soul until I see you again..
Your smile was infectious and your kind heart blessed all whom you came in contact with.
Thank you for being a loyal, life-long friend to my brother, Len. We will miss you dearly Ed.
You will always be in our hearts.
Rest in Heavenly Peace Ed, my 2nd brother.
I will miss you forever. I am heartbroken.
Thank you for being such a great friend for almost
40 years.
We had such a blast together as teenagers, even though
we attended different high schools.
So many fond memories of playing tennis, joking around,
causing trouble, and our 2009 Vegas trip just to name a few.
I will miss your sense of humor and easy going personality.
You helped me a lot over the years and I am eternally grateful.
Thanks Ed for being there for me.
No more pain, no more suffering Ed. Rest easy now.
Until we meet up again. God Bless.
Dear Eric Coco,
Growing up I admired your thoughtfulness, always sparing your time with a smile on your face I will never forget. I only wish I had been there to return that kindness more often.
Love,
Foo Wen
Dearest Ed
Too heart broken to write. There are no words to describe your love and kindness to our families and friends. You gave more than anyone to everyone.
Your smile, friendship are for others, and generosity cannot be matched.
We will miss you. You have left a vacuum that will never be filled.
Rest in heavenly peace.
To my cousin and godfather, Eric.
Words will never be able to express how much I’ll miss you. I still see your smile, hear your laugh, and feel your warmth and love that you gave to everyone around you. I’ve never imagined a world without you, but will cherish our memories together, forever.
Love,
Pao Pao
Dear Ed,
We will miss you so much. You were an angel for our family from the beginning and will always be remembered for your kindness and generosity.
Love you forever.

I’ll forever remember you for your kind heart. Ed was undeniably a rare soul, truly selfless and loving to everyone. He was more than just a relative to most; he was a third parent, a brother, and a best friend to us all.
This loss has left a void in many hearts that feels impossible to fill. I have seen sadness and sorrow like i’ve never before seen. As we collectively try to come to terms with our personal loss, I hope that his extensive circle of friends and family can find comfort in knowing that he is now resting comfortably and peacefully.
For all those who are feeling this intense sorrow and grief, Ed’s spirit is receiving it as a testament to our deep love for him, the unforgettable memories that will forever reside in our hearts, and how he has enriched our lives by being a part of them.
Rest in peace, dear cuz.
Dearest Eric,
You were a gift from God!
Your lifetime given to each and everyone of us was true love and joy.
Gone to heaven, forever in our hearts. I miss you very much. Rest in peace.
Love,
Ayee Dot and Yee Chong Steven
Ed,
Thank you for being such an inspiration to us all of the power of kindness, love, family and friendship. Your ability to touch so many people, so deeply, is clear. We are all blessed to have such wonderful memories where you made our lives that much brighter, whether it was simple days spent swimming in the pool, joking around, or shopping. These small moments with you are big parts of who we are today. Your quiet strength and generosity can never be overlooked. We miss you so much. We love you.

In Loving Memory of My Friend, Ed Chung…
You were like a light to everyone you met, and if there was darkness, your smile would make it fade. I understand that you were unique to your family. I saw the way you treated them. Especially the way you talked about your brother Charles’s kids. You were exceptional. I remember the first time we met… and on that day, we realized we had so much in common. We even shared the same birthday. We always anticipated who would call who first. My friend, I love you and will never forget you. You have a special place in my heart.
You’re a Friend gone too soon🕊️.
I will miss you, My Brother.
Len Chase, God Bless🎚️
My dearest Eric,
I miss you a lot!
Your leaving us has left such a huge vacuum in our hearts.
You always put “others” before yourself…always extending your help, love & care.
I will miss seeing you every Thursday of the week & more so, your deep dimpled smile.
I will not forget you for being so caring to me & not failing to say each time I left your place “Thai Khiumay, drive home safely’.
Eric, you will always be remembered & forever remain in my heart.
Love – Thai Khiumay (& Thai Khiu)
Ed, it was a pleasure knowing you since elementary, high school, and to adulthood. ..you were good friend all the way and always will remain in all of our heart as a good person forever.
My dear friend Ed,
You’re gone much too soon. Will miss your permanent smile, your forever helping hand and our lunches together. You always ended up being a friend to everyone you met. I’ll miss you and try my best to follow the example you set.
Your grateful friend,
Gus
Our dearest friend Ed,
Words cannot begin to explain the sorrow we all feel in our hearts. You are the standard of kindness and love that everyone else could only try to emulate. You consistently gave everything you could offer to help anyone in need, whether through a few kind words, moral support, physical support or simply with your smile. In the 26 years I’ve known you, you were always there for my family and I. You were first one there at the hospital when my three girls were born. The first to arrive and one of the last to leave our wedding. And always there for any family function or child’s birthday party with your warm soul and heart warming laugh. Ed, there is absolutely no replacing your light in our lives. But I take solace in knowing that you are in a far better place now, spending time with all the loved ones who have passed before us. You will always be in our hearts Ed, always in our prayers and I know that one day we will all see each other again. Until then, know that Yvette, Madelyn, Evelyn, Gwen and I love you so much. Goodbye my friend.
Dearest Ed,
You had such a kind heart and soul.
You will be missed by so many.
The impact you had us is so precious.
My words will only fall short.
You have left all of us with the greatest gift of your spirit, I am forever grateful.
Love you brother.
My dear cousin,
You were there for me and my family growing up and you were always someone we could count on. You were as much a part of my childhood as any family member could be.
So thankful to have had you my dear cousin as I was definitely influenced by you. Your caring and funny demeanor, interesting life and wisdom with many jobs, and your silly trick with rolled up tissue paper.
We will remember all the details of your life and of who you were and the impact you’ve had on all our lives.
We miss you and hope you are at peace with God our father.
Love,
Liana and Will
