We are sad to hear about your beautiful, strong mother Giuseppina. Our deepest condolences to all of her children, grandchildren and loved ones. We wish you much strength and know that you’re mom will always be with all of you. Keep your memories close to your heart and the smiles she put on your faces. With lots of love from the Caloiero Family.
Nonna, you were my best friend growing up. I will never forget when Mom announced she was making something I didn’t particularly want for dinner (lol) – you would start working your magic in the kitchen. The days when I was “sick” from school, you would gladly have me over and we’d spend the whole day together. Such awesome memories that I will cherish the rest of my life.
I can’t thank you enough for everything you taught me, along with the values you distilled on me. You were the most selfless, loving, and beautiful woman – inside and out – and I am so happy I had the privilege of calling you my Nonna. The world simply does not make them like you anymore.
Your spirit will remain with me forever.
I love and miss you so much Nonna.
– Davide
My precious nonna,
There are so many beautiful memories I have of you, but the one I want to share now is one that I continue to do.
Every night, you & I would say the Hail Mary prayer in Italian. At the end of the prayer though, you would ask God to protect everyone. You would list everyone’s name individually….and boy was that a long list.
Nonna, this is a memory now that I still do, but this time, you’re with me, in my heart.
Nonna, I love & miss you so much!! Lora
Mama,
It’s 1 month ago today, that I last saw your beautiful face smiling at me as you were being put into the ambulance. I watched helplessly with tears in my eyes & an ache in my heart.
My heart still breaks as if it happened just yesterday.
It breaks my heart, that I could not be there with you, when you were in the hospital.
It breaks my heart, to know that you are no longer here with us.
But, not having most of your children/grandchildren, family & friends
there, when it was time for your last goodbye, is what breaks my heart even more.
You are with papa now & together you can both rest in peace.
Love & miss you two so much!! Adriana
