Irene Favero (nee Francini) passed away peacefully at the age of 93 at Humber River Regional Hospital surrounded by the love of her family. 

elevated 4TGPJ Irene was born on May 7th in Loro Ciuffena, Arezzo Italy to Arturo Francini and Gina (nee Braccini).  Loving wife of 32 years to the late Paolo Favero. Devoted mother to the late Sonia (Dino) and Marcie (Michael). Nonna Amore to her grandchildren Rita (Jon), Michelle (Denis), Paul (Gema), and Robert (Rachel).  Proud great-grandmother to Jacob, Xander, Jaxon, Julian and Phoenix. Sister to the late Maria Bartolini, Attilio Francini and Giovanni Francini, and survived by her siblings Franco Francini, Felicetta Cardini and Gioiello Francini. 

elevated 4TGPJ Irene journeyed through life from a rural town in the Tuscan hills to Switzerland and finally to Canada, carrying with her always a welcoming and joyful heart.  She touched many lives by opening her home, creating community spirit in her neighbourhood and always being ready with a giant pot of food. Irene’s light-hearted jokes, and whole-hearted tenderness will be dearly missed.
