Obituary
elevated yYkJn It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Li Kit Sang, Joseph, who died peacefully on April 28, 2023, at age 90. He was predeceased by his loving wife Sum Mee Wan, Teresa and is greatly missed by his daughters Li Man Yee, Anna (Leo Tse), Li Wai Yee, Brenda (Chris Hanson), Li Tak Yee, Frances (Larry Crosby), and grandchildren James Hanson and Nicholas Hanson.
elevated yYkJn Joseph was born in Canton, China in 1932 and fled the violence of World War II and its aftermath in two waves of refugee migration, that included a scary but brief separation from his family at age of about 8. His early years and schooling were in Canton. He immigrated to Hong Kong (by way of Macau), married, and joined the Catholic Church. Joseph served on the Hong Kong police department as a sergeant, trainer at its academy, and a key member of the department’s tennis team before retiring at 45. His next career was in the import/export business when he traveled the world extensively. Before leaving Hong Kong, Joseph was a volunteer at the Rosary Catholic Church and was the oldest member of its choir.
elevated yYkJn After immigrating to Toronto and becoming a Canadian citizen in 1997, he maintained his love of photography, cars, televised sports, and travel. He is remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, with an open and generous soul, practical mindset, and endearing smile.

Dear Leo, Anna and Family, my deepest condolences on the passing of your father, father-in-law, and grandfather. May he rest in eternal peace with his loving wife.
On behalf of the family, thank you very much for your kind thoughts.
Rest in peace dear uncle. You will be missed dearly by all your family and friends.
Thank you so much, 五哥.
Uncle has spent his whole blessed life to excel in his career, taking care of his family & serve Jesus our Lord. He has also been very kind & caring to us as school buddies of the family. Uncle will always be in our heart as a great model for us to follow. May God bless the whole family💕
Thank you so much for your kind words. I am very grateful for having two great parents who had dedicated their whole life taking care of the family and taught us what conditional love is all about. My dad’s hospitality and generosity also extends out of the family and this spirit of sharing meant a lot to him. Missing him dearly.
Same here Anna. Missing Uncle & Auntie & their admirable life attitude so much. Take care.
Mr Li, Now may the Lord of Peace Himself give you peace always in every way.
For the Family:
I wish you and your family peace and comfort during this difficult time. Please accept my condolences.
Thank you so much, Mary.
Dear Frances,
Our heartfelt sympathies on the passing of your father. May he rest in eternal peace. We’re sure that his memory will forever live on in our hearts.
Dear Vicki and Ivan,
Thank you so much for your kind thoughts. I know that of all the various services Dad did at the church, he enjoyed the choir the most because of the love and friendships you all showed him.
Dear Anna, Brenda and Frances, please accept my sincere condolences to all your beloved family members to face the great pain of saying goodbye to your dear father. May our Merciful Heavenly Father welcome Uncle Li into His eternal peace & joy with your beloved Mom. I’m very Blessed that I have a chance to know them in person. May you all be comforted and strengthened with Faith, Hope, Love and Peace by our Risen Lord that your whole family will be reunited in God’s Kingdom in future! Keep in touch and in Prayers! Mother Mary and St Joseph, please pray for us!
Thank you so much Maggie.
