elevated N7D5V It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear mother Lai Fong Chiu. God called onto her on Wednesday, June 1, 2022 and she passed away peacefully at Markham Stouffville Hospital, at the age of 92.
elevated N7D5V Anna Lai Fong Chiu was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She was a devoted Catholic and her faith gave her hope and strength to overcome all challenges.
elevated N7D5V Predeceased by her beloved husband John Kwan Lam Chan. She will lovingly remembered by her children: Mary (Joseph), Louis, Amy (Stanley), Rosetta (Denis), Joseph, Eldon, and Portia (Mein Ee); and grandchildren Polly, Jolie and Carissa.
elevated N7D5V Lai Fong was born in Canton, China on November 24, 1929 of the Chinese lunar calendar, settled in Hong Kong in 1956, then came to Canada in 1992. Despite facing countless trials and tribulations, she had an unwavering resilience, a complete dedication to her loved ones, and the ability to find the joy in everyday moments. Curious and fun-loving, she enjoyed traveling, learning new skills, and having weekly dim sum with friends and family. She will always be remembered for her warm smile and kindness towards all.

She had a such blessed life with her beloved children and grandchildren,

To Army, Rosseta and your entire family. May the good Lord give you comfort and the strength during this difficult times . God is always going to support and comfort you . I knew mum for a short period but I can recall her wonderful smile and always said kind thanks for every little task I did and helped her . She had big heart for everyone and her kindness will always be part of me. Thanks to you all, as her children , you gave mum the best care, most parents will wish have . Now that she has gone to be with God , she will always protect you all . Find comfort and take heart .

We are all very sad to know that your mom passed away because we are looking forward to her returning to our day program where we share so much her joy and happiness.
