elevated Z5g9Q Obituary
Marco Borin passed away on February 14, 2026 at the wonderful age of 96.

elevated Z5g9Q Born in Chiarano Italy on February 25, 1929, as a young man he dreamed of forging his own path and creating a better life.  When the opportunity to come to Canada presented itself, he knew this was his chance.  He arrived alone and after securing a job and a place to live, he married his love, Amelia, by proxy and she  arrived in Canada to join him for the adventure.  Together they created the foundation of our family in Canada.  Ennio, was the first born, then Paola, Sandra, and Paolo in the years that followed.

elevated Z5g9Q Dad was a man of many passions.  He loved his work as a master mason and worked on many Toronto landmark buildings.  By the end of his career, he was working with large granite slabs and loved the challenging nature of the work.  Dad was always active, always busy doing something; growing an abundant vegetable garden, making wine,  salami, and sausages, and raising chickens.    Dad really enjoyed hard work and was never idle.  When he finally retired, the garden became his full time job and it kept us all well fed.

elevated Z5g9Q It was the arrival of their grandchildren Stephanie, Marco, Daniel, Jesse, Matthew, and Katrien that revived the  joy in the Borin household. That joy was once again revived when Dad became a Bisnonno with great-grand daughter Clara, who he adored.

elevated Z5g9Q Dad is now reunited with his amore, Amelia and we just know that Mom is making a “cafetino” for him right now.

elevated Z5g9Q Dad / Nonno / Bisnonno, we are all so thankful for our time with you, and for everything you taught us. We will always remember your words: “life is beautiful”.
