elevated iXplw The family announces with sorrow, Maria DaCosta’s passing on October 8, 2025, at the age of 90. Beloved wife of Evaristo DaCosta who passed away April 10, 2019. Loving mother of David (Edith) and Joseph (Sandra). Cherished grandma of Victoria, Kaitlynn, Jason and Ryan. Maria and Evaristo immigrated to Winnipeg from the Azores in the 1950’s with only a suitcase in hand. Maria had a very long life, happily living at the Bradford Valley Community Home for her last few years. Outlived by her sisters, Luisa (Leonilo), Artemisa (Jerry) and brother John (Deolinda). She will be forever missed by her many nieces and nephews and extended family, friends and loved ones.

elevated iXplw Maria’s passing will be deeply felt by many and her life will be joyously remembered and long celebrated by all who were fortunate enough to have shared in it. Forever loved and Forever remembered.

Senhora Maria was such a special part of our family. We share so many wonderful memories- Sydney, Kate, Sean and I were so fortunate to have had her in our lives. She was an incredibly strong and loving woman who will be missed. Sending love and heartfelt condolences to the entire family♥️
David, Joe and Family….Your Mom touched the lives of so many, her kind words and her beautiful smile made her so special. May the embrace of family and friends bring you all comfort.
Dear Dave, Edith, Joe , Sandra and all your family, our deepest condolences on this sad time. Your mom loved our family and we loved hers very much too.
She was a very happy-go -lucky lady and always had kind words about everyone. She adored her boys but then you know that.

Dear David Edith Joey and Sandra our thoughts and prayers are with you and the DaCosta family during this sorrowful time. I could still hear loud laughter coming from the other room and when i get there I see my Mom Olivia on the phone. I tell my mom let me guess, it’s prima Incarnacao on the phone.
