Obituary
Christ is Risen. Truly He is Risen.
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the repose of our rock and pillar Nassar Nassar, on May 12, 2025. The eldest son of the late Aftim Michael Nassar, and Nada Jacob Nassar. He was loved by many for his kindness, generosity and joyfulness. A devout Christian, he spent his early years serving the church in Jaffa, Palestine and led his devout family to do the same while spending the rest of his life here in Canada. His love for the St. George Community had no bounds. He was a humble man, full of love and life and lived with a positive spiritual energy that shone bright from him. He is also known as the founding father of the Diocesan Soccer tournament that still lives on over 23 years later. He is survived by his loving and dedicated wife, Nadia Nassar, and his four children and their families; Nada (Bishara), Jabra and Anton Shubeita, Aftim (Samantha), Evangeline and Makarios Nassar, Costa (Weronika) and Matylda Nassar, and Andrew (Ramya), Liam and Lucas Nassar. We love you, dad.
In lieu of flowers you may make a donation to St. George Antiochian Orthodox Church in Memory of Nassar Nassar.
Deepest condolences to the entire Nassar Family on the loss of our dear sweet Nassar Aftim Nassar. Namesake of this proud and wonderful family. The leader and mentor to his 6 brothers and 3 sisters. Number one in everything especially the first born of Aftim and Nada. #1 Son, Uncle, Cousin, Father, Sedo, brother-in-law and most cherished husband to his love Nadia. So many traits we know and love: life of any party, first on the dance floor, the most handsome, supremely athletic, praying over and blessing all of our special occasions with his distinctive baritone voice A true man of God and faith. Respected, cherished, beloved and never to be forgotten. The amazing stories we share about this man are legendary, numerous and true to our hearts. You only need to look at his wonderful children and grandchildren to see he raised them all well. As your sister I can say you have been a great brother to me and a fantastic Khalo to my children and grandchildren. Always in our lives and hearts forever. We love you so much. Memory eternal and God Bless your precious Soul Dearest Nassar.
Christ is Risen! Heartfelt condolences to the entire Nassar family. May he rest in peace surrounded by the choir of angels. Venise Kousaie and family.
Our deepest condolences to the entire Nassar family. May his memory be eternal 🙏
