Obituary
Christ is Risen. Truly He is Risen.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the repose of our rock and pillar Nassar Nassar, on May 12, 2025. The eldest son of the late Aftim Michael Nassar, and Nada Jacob Nassar. He was loved by many for his kindness, generosity and joyfulness. A devout Christian, he spent his early years serving the church in Jaffa, Palestine and led his devout family to do the same while spending the rest of his life here in Canada. His love for the St. George Community had no bounds. He was a humble man, full of love and life and lived with a positive spiritual energy that shone bright from him. He is also known as the founding father of the Diocesan Soccer tournament that still lives on over 23 years later.  He is survived by his loving and dedicated wife, Nadia Nassar, and his four children and their families; Nada (Bishara), Jabra and Anton Shubeita, Aftim (Samantha), Evangeline and Makarios Nassar, Costa (Weronika) and Matylda Nassar, and Andrew (Ramya), Liam and Lucas Nassar.  We love you, dad.

In lieu of flowers you may make a donation to St. George Antiochian Orthodox Church in Memory of Nassar Nassar.
