elevated XWwso With family by his side, Onofrio Faiola passed away peacefully in his 75th year. Affectionately known as a beloved husband, father, grandfather/Nonno, brother, uncle, and friend, he was a cherished presence in the lives of all who knew and loved him. As a devoted and loving husband, he leaves behind his wife, Filomena. As a proud and dedicated father, he leaves behind his son, Gianni. He was a kind and generous father-in-law to Giovanna. Onofrio was the beloved grandfather/Nonno to Alessia, Gianluca, and Mauro. He was a thoughtful and dependable brother to his predeceased older brother, Rocco, and his younger brother, Attilio. He is also predeceased by his parents, Emilio and Regina.

elevated XWwso Onofrio was born on November 11, 1950 in Campodimele, Italy, a small, picturesque hilltop village in the region of Lazio and the province of Latina. In September of 1968, he migrated to Toronto, Ontario, Canada in order to look for job opportunities, where he began his career in construction, specifically, high-rise buildings, until he switched careers in 1988, where he began working for the York Catholic District School Board as a custodian, until he reached retirement at the ripe age of 62.

elevated XWwso Onofrio was a strong, hardworking, and selfless man whose gentle nature and full-hearted laughter filled every room he entered. He always said yes when someone needed him, never hesitating to put the happiness of others before his own. He found joy in life’s simple and meaningful pleasures, like making homemade wine, soppressata, and sausages, trying new recipes, tending to his garden, caring for his chickens, and sharing his harvest with family and friends. He loved to stay active by going for long walks, dancing, playing Italian music, playing Italian card games, and bringing people together, creating memories that will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.

elevated XWwso His greatest pride was his family. The values of strength, generosity, perseverance, and unconditional love that he instilled in them will continue for generations. Onofrio was dearly loved and will be fondly and forever remembered.
