elevated iN5ZX Obituary

elevated iN5ZX It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Richard Carrera, age 52, who went home to the Lord on November 1, 2025, after a long and brave battle with multiple sclerosis.

elevated iN5ZX Born on June 25, 1973 in Brampton, Ontario; Richard was known for his amazing smile, incredible strength and his trademark “thumbs-up”.  Even through hardship, his smile never faded, and he enjoyed the small things in life.

Richard had a great passion for fast cars, good music, an ice cold beer and cherished the time he spent with close friends.

elevated iN5ZX Richard is survived by his devoted mother, Odete Carrera, his beloved daughter, Zoe Carrera, who was his pride and joy.  He will be deeply missed by his sister, Sandra (Patrick) Penman, his nephews, Gabriel and Lucas Carrera and his father, Jose (Phylis) Carrera; preceded in death and lovingly reunited with his nephew, Zachary.

elevated iN5ZX Though his journey with multiple sclerosis was long and incredibly tough, Richard faced it with courage, grace, and an unforgettable strength.  Richard’s courage and love will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew him.  Gone from our sight but never from our hearts.

elevated iN5ZX  The family extends heartfelt thanks to the management and staff at Extended Care Brampton for nearly a decade of compassion and support throughout his illness.
