elevated QV6Pz Salvatore Mirabelli, October 28, 1947 – January 21, 2022

elevated QV6Pz It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Salvatore (Sal) Mirabelli, at the age of 74. He is survived by his loving wife, Rosa, children Vincent (Eva), Laura (Anthony), Melissa (James), and Stephanie (Gianni), grandchildren Emilia, Stella, Sofia, Adriana, Selena, and Luca, and brothers John (Rosa) and Franco (Nancy).

elevated QV6Pz Born in Calabria, Italy, he ventured across the Atlantic Ocean with his mother, Maria Mirabelli (2020), and younger brother John to Toronto, Canada in the 1950s, to join his father, Vincenzo (2005) in search of a better life. Always comfortable in social situations, it didn’t take Sal long to adjust to his new environment, even when his youngest brother, Franco, joined the family. That character of comfort never left him, even in his later years. He had a long career in media with the Scarborough Board, and then, Toronto District School Board, and was seldom seen without a camera (or three) in his hands, even on his children’s wedding days, capturing countless treasured moments with his family, whom he dearly loved.

elevated QV6Pz He will always be remembered for his infinite capacity of love, charm, and sharp wit by those whose lives he impacted. He will be immensely missed and will continue to live on in the hearts and minds of his family, and those who loved him.

elevated QV6Pz He will be entombed in Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery.
