elevated TlYaE Obituary
elevated TlYaE It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Sam Mina on Friday, December 20, 2019 at his home and surrounded by his close family. He will be deeply missed by his beloved wife Renee, his daughters Amy Mina and Lisa Mina (Randall Huffman), and his grandchildren Benjamin, Tomhas and Lauryn. He is survived by his brothers Mark Mina (Shirlee) and Hani Yen, his brother-in-law Elias Honein, and predeceased by his father Togo Mina and his mother Elaine Salama, his brother-in-law Charles Honein, (Josephine). He is related to the families of Estafan, Francis and Naassan.
elevated TlYaE Sam was a man of integrity and principle with a strong work and family ethic, and a keen sense of humour. He was loved and admired by all who knew him and worked with him.
elevated TlYaE He was an electrical engineer who joined Trench Limited (now Siemens) almost 40 years ago and retired as Director of Marketing in 2012. Sam’s negotiation and organizational skills translated into successful business accomplishments at Trench Limited; his fun loving spirit and planning skills translated into several unique social events and worldwide trips for his many friends; his devotion to his family translated into unconditional love and support for his wife, children and grandchildren, and his spirituality translated into a calm and reassuring demeanour. He loved spending time at the beach, taking long walks, barbecuing, reading, playing cards and, above all, enjoying the company of family and friends. A gentleman, a loving father and husband, respected businessman, a thoughtful and kind friend, Sam will be sorely missed and never forgotten.
elevated TlYaE The family wishes to extend their thanks to the Sunnybrook Odette Cancer Centre and to the Dorothy Ley Hospice for their care, compassion and support during our most difficult time.

We love and respect this great man. I had the privilege to know him at work and among his family. I saw the best of humanity in both.
“He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”
I had the pleasure of working with Sam for over 3 decades and he was such a positive person. He was always putting the customers needs first, at the same time showing respect for the people who worked with him. He was motivator as well as a mentor to all who worked around him. In all the years we worked together, I never saw him get upset. He will be missed but not forgotten. Rest in peace my friend and God bless.
We are so very sorry for your loss and we send our deepest condolences. We are honoured to have known Sam and his kind demeanour, warm smile and graciousness. His love for all of you and seeing his eyes light up being with Lauryn will always be remembered. We hope you take comfort in the many memories you have of him. Sending our love and prayers to you all. Xo
I worked with Sam for over 3 decades and without a doubt, he was one of the most persuasive people I had the pleasure of dealing with. He always reminded people around him of how important it was to put the customer first. He was truly a great guy and he will be missed but not forgotten. Rest in peace my friend.

I was thinking of Sam today and found this obituary in my search on line. I knew Sam so many years ago when I worked with him at Trench Electric in the 70s. He was one of the kindest men I had ever met and I can only imagine how much he will be missed.
My heart is with Renee and the family.
